Feature series on social justice for Minerva magasine

The often invisible social structures that underpin our societies were the target of critique, anger and protest in the United States and Europe in 2020. The protests were linked to the murder of George Floyd by police in the US in may, but the movements spread around the world, in unique manifestations linked to specific historical and cultural contexts. Exploring this has been the aim of this article series created, commissioned and edited by me my colleague Eva-Kristin Pedersen in the winter of 2020 and 2021 for Minerva magasine.

By connecting and working with local journalists, this feature series explored the different ways ideas associated to anti-racism, feminism and critical theory and concepts such as safe spaces influenced social movements around the world. The series was funded by Minerva and the Fritt Ord Foundation.
